Inslee Declares State of Emergency on Measles

There are 36 confirmed measles cases in Washington state.

An outbreak of the measles has led to a state of emergency being declared in Washington state with the governor and health officials urging residents to get vaccinated as soon as possible. A number of other states are seeing a rise in measles cases as well.

There have been no confirmed cases of measles on the Peninsula but in 2015 there were 6 cases including one person that died from complications of the disease.
