Holiday Events Highlight Weekend

The Christmas season gets going in earnest this weekend in Forks and the West End with several celebrations. Here is the schedule.

Today
• 5 p.m. — 17th annual Cherish Our Children, Forks Elks Lodge, 941 Merchant Road.

Saturday
• 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. — Breakfast with Santa at Forks Congregational Church, 280 S. Spartan Ave. Adults are $5, kids 12 and younger are $3. Photos with Santa are $5.
• 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. — Christmas Bazaar at VFW Hall, 110 S. Spartan Ave.
• 1 p.m. — Santa Bucks drawing at Forks Outfitters, 950 S. Forks Ave.
• 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. — Soroptimist International of the Olympic Rain Forest Festival of Trees Open House at Rainforest Arts Center, 35 N. Forks Ave.
• 2 p.m. — Rain Shadow Players Bell Choir of Sequim, in conjunction with the Congregational Church of Forks, concert to benefit the Forks Food Bank.
• 5:30 p.m. — Forks Community Orchestra (Forkestra) at the Forks Library, 171 S. Forks Ave.
• 6:30 p.m. — 17th annual Twinkle Light Holiday Parade along Forks Avenue from C Street to Sol Duc Way.
• 6:45 p.m. — Tree Lighting ceremony at the triangle on Sol Duc Way.
• 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. — Soroptimist International of the Olympic Rain Forest Festival of Trees Open House at Rainforest Arts Center, 35 N. Forks Ave.
• 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. — Moonlight Madness at participating businesses.

Sunday
• 1 p.m. — Soroptimist of the Olympic Rainforest 22nd annual Festival of Trees Auction at the Rainforest Arts Center, 35 N. Forks Ave. Doors open at 1 p.m., and the auction starts at 2 p.m.
• 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. — 30th annual Children’s Winter Faire at the Sekiu Community Center, 42 Rice St.
