Diane Schostak Dies

West End Mourns Former Executive Director of Visitor Bureau and Chamber

The West End is mourning the death of Diane Schostak – who passed away on Monday after a long battle with cancer.  Diane was the executive director of the Olympic Peninsula Visitor Bureau and Executive director of  the Forks Chamber of Commerce.

Current Chamber Executive Director Lissy Andros issued an email saying: We will miss Diane’s friendship, her community spirit and her tireless work on behalf of the Olympic Peninsula.

And the Board of Directors of the Olympic Peninsula Visitor Bureau released a statement saying :  “We are all greatly saddened by the news of Diane Schostak’s death. Diane was a visionary, a dedicated and tireless leader in building the tourism industry for the Olympic Peninsula. Through her commitment to partnerships and her cooperative spirit, Diane always kept her eye on the big picture, and helped us do so as well. She has left a great foundation on which to continue to build, and our Board is committed to carrying on her legacy of collaboration and outreach. We will miss her energy and passion and great embrace for all. Our thoughts and prayers go out in support of her family. “
